One of the most important things to consider when choosing a Bookkeeper is whether you feel confident in their ability to provide you with accurate and reliable bookkeeping. If you click on the logo below it will take you to the website of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers of which I am a Member. They can confirm for you my current qualifications.

In addition to these qualifications I also have many years experience with different sizes of company operating both bookkeeping and payroll systems. For several years I worked for a medium size business with a turnover in excess of £1,000,000. I was responsible for the entry of all the sales and purchases as well as the reconciliation of bank accounts. I dealt with accruals, prepayments, journal entries & invoicing as well as many of the tasks associated with year-end. I also ran the Payroll system for 60 employees. More recently I worked as a Bookkeeper and Office Manager for a small landscape gardening business. Their original system had been part manual and part computerised, with the computerised work and payroll done by their Accountant.

I bought all these systems in-house, working with the Accountant to ensure compatibility of systems and accuracy. At the same time I streamlined the office routines so that the work flow was more efficient and the Director had a much tighter control over the finances, allowing more informed decisions to be made.

I work from my home in the Staffordshire Moorlands where I have a dedicated office with HMRC-approved Sage Accounts software. I also have spreadsheet software if you prefer to keep your records in this format.

My Practice covers the Staffordshire Moorlands and extends into Derbyshire and the Peak District. This includes Stoke-on-Trent, Leek, Ashbourne, Uttoxeter and all villages in between.

I am happy to collect your books, do the necessary work and then deliver your books back to you at your convenience.
